Hi, there!
It’s me, Andy Smith.

I’m an architect, illustrator, and artist from Concord, Massachusetts who loves using bright colors to bring joy to people through doodle form. I have 20+ years of experience as an architect (where I doodle A LOT), but in my spare time, I love doodling my doodles about animals, local businesses, and… pretty much anything. I do digital illustrations, but I also paint murals and create things that people (like you) can buy. If you would like to buy something I’ve created, please check out my online stores. I get money and you get art; it’s a win-win!

Drawing is fun!

I’ve been drawing all of my life. Lately, I’ve been using the full power of my iPad Pro and Apple Pencil to bring my doodles to life digitally. I use an app called Concepts to do most of my work. It’s great because I can edit things exactly as I’d like them to be with a variety of brushes and tools. You should give it a try too!

I can make a mural too.

Sometimes, an illustration just won’t fit inside a frame or on a tote bag and you need to paint it really, really big on the side of a building. I can do that. Maybe you and your friends would even like to help me do it! I worked with Art For All to create a mural for Open Table, our local food pantry to help bring light to those dealing with food insecurity in our area.

It’s in the bag!

“It has been a sincere pleasure working with Andy Smith on our bag design project here at Debra’s Natural Gourmet.  Not only is his work eye-catching and vibrant – the art speaks for itself! – but it’s also grounded in a deep knowledge of who we are and how we want to present ourselves in the community. It is anything but generic. And more than that, it feels affectionate. I am deeply grateful for what he’s done.

“Beyond the finished art itself, Andy is a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. In terms of design, he was receptive to our input, and took it in surprising and delightful directions. Our ensuing back-and-forths were easy and fruitful.  He also managed the design relationship with our bag company.  Every aspect of the process has been a pleasure.”
